What is Momentum?

Momentum is an 18+ God Party.

You may have heard of all the crazy things we do (80s Prom, Denim Night, Michigan's Largest Ugly Sweater). It's intense--especially since we aren't located in a real city (it's a township with a very small population). It's, perhaps, too much fun. You also might be wondering, "What is a God Party?"  Here's your answer. Basically, we love God and we love to party. Church should not be boring. Even Jesus said the Kingdom of Heaven is like a man who put on a wedding banquet and tried to get a lot of people to go. We want to be like the Kingdom of Heaven, gathering at a party Jesus is at. Hundreds of young adults are coming from all over the nation to be at this Party and we want you to join. Come Party with Us.

Why does Momentum Exist?

We Party for Life.

Everyday, many of us are surrounded by things that suck the life out of us. We want to create a gathering so incredible, so moving, that people are filled with true Life. We exist so that people can build a life together based on real, true, big and lasting Life--not settling for the death all around us. A fancy way of saying this is that Momentum exists to gather young adults from the surrounding area so they can find Jesus and find friends. Jesus came to the Earth so that we can have life and life to the full. We want that. We Party for Life.

What is your Role?

We want you to come party with us!

If you are between the ages of 18-39, join us. All you have to do is show up. Wear whatever you want. Big hair don't care. Prepare to make a lot of friends and experience true life. Also, we have plenty of areas for you to use your giftings and talents. Play an instrument, display your art, whatever. We'd love get you connected into this incredible community of Party People. Every Tuesday at 7PM.

I see Momentum as a place where young adults come and find life in Jesus. A place where the lonely could be set in a family. A place where the doubting heart or skeptic could find peace. A place where the depressed could come into an environment of life, praise, encouragement, and friendship to be swept up in a different life style. I see momentum being the highlight of your week. A place where people can escape pressure of school, work, family or relationships and find life on a Tuesday night.

I see a place where people come feeling one way and leave feeling alive and full of life. I see a place where people feel loved as soon as they come through our doors and have a friend by the time they go home. I see a place where hearts warm up to God during worship and believe upon Jesus as Lord and Savior by the end of the service. I see a place that offers life and encouragement to everyone who walks through the doors no matter who they are or where they have come from. I see a place filled with people who others thought they would never step foot in church let alone love church. I see a church filled with faith and joy beyond explanation. I see a place filled with people who search for people to bring to church. I see a place filled with people who invest themselves into others so they can find LIFE (JESUS).

I see a place filled with people who are amazed with Jesus because of the environment they walked into. I see a place where people put aside their own agendas and feelings to reach out and love others. I see a place where young adults forget themselves and their own desires for 3 hours every Tuesday night so others can experience friendship and the love of God.

I see a place who follows Jesus, not a person, personality, or program. I see a people who are willing to put aside a too cool for school mentality and become all things to all people. I see a place that is a light shining on a hill for others to not only come and be a part of but for other churches to learn and glean from. I see a growing ministry that attracts all people from all walks of life. I see a place that looks different from the world but attracts the world. I see a place filled with people that not only loves Jesus but also loves one another fiercely. I see revival.
